Does Zig Zag Pavement Marking Work? Take the VDOT Survey

According to Loudoun County's commuting options Web page, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking feedback on the pavement markings that were installed near the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail on Belmont Ridge Road and Sterling Boulevard in April 2009. (April VDOT news release)

These pavement markings are commonly referred to as “zig-zag” markings. VDOT is seeking public input to help determine the effectiveness of the markings and to help decision-makers assess the prospects of installing future zig-zag markings.

Take the VDOT survey and/or comment below with your thoughts on the zig zag pavement marking.
