Loudoun County's Bike to Work Day a Success

According to Loudoun County officials, about 445 cyclists stopped by the two pit stops along the Washington and Old Dominion Trail, in Leesburg and Sterling today, hosted by the Loudoun County Office of Transportation Services as part of Bike to Work Day 2010.

The county's Office of Transportation Services coordinated today's annual Bike to Work Day in cooperation with the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association. The annual event promotes bicycling as a clean, healthy commuting choice.

Congrats to all of Loudoun's bikers. And don't forget... Loudoun County Traffic would love to have pictures from today's Bike to Work Day. If you any pictures you'd like to share -- riding, at one of the pit stops, etc. -- e-mail to us and we'll publish! Be sure to give us some details about who is in the picture, where it was taken, etc.
