I-66 HOV Lifted Inside the Beltway on Monday Morning

Virginia Department of Transportation crews in Northern Virginia continue to address the weekend's storm damage, working closely with emergency responders and utility companies to restore traffic signals and reopen roads.
VDOT reports that to help ease delays on arterial routes due to signal outages, VDOT will lift the high occupancy vehicle (HOV) requirement of two or more passengers on eastbound Interstate 66 inside the Beltway during the a.m. rush hour tomorrow, Monday, July 2.

Regular HOV restrictions will remain in effect on I-66 outside the Beltway and on I-95/395.

VDOT reports that many traffic signals in Northern Virginia remain without power; motorists are reminded that these intersections should be treated as four-way stops and drivers should proceed with caution.
