Sept. 20 Meeting on Assessment of Transit and Mobility Services for People with Disabilities

Loudoun County is conducting an “Assessment of Transit and Mobility Services for People with Disabilities.” The first of two scheduled public information meetings on the project will be held Thursday, September 20, from 5-7 p.m. in the Board Room on the first floor of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street S.E. in Leesburg.

The meeting will be held prior to the regularly scheduled Disability Services Board monthly meeting. This will be an open house style meeting with information available on current transportation services for people with disabilities, findings of previous studies and surveys, the scope of the current study, and initial study observations.

There will also be a brief presentation at 6:15 p.m. covering this information. Interested parties and the general public are invited to attend the meeting and provide input to county and consultant staff concerning transportation needs for persons with disabilities, experiences with existing services, and potential improvements to be evaluated by the study.
