Route 28 Corridor Open House on Nov. 15

Loudoun County residents need to plan to attend an open house on the Route 28 Corridor Zoning Ordinance Update Project on Thursday, November 15, at Loudoun Water, 44865 Loudoun Water Way in Ashburn. The all-day open house is designed so you can drop in from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a formal presentation scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The Route 28 Corridor is emerging as an international gateway for the Washington metropolitan region and a major employment destination for national and international businesses. The Route 28 Corridor Zoning Ordinance Update project is identifying potential regulatory changes to the county’s Revised 1993 Zoning Ordinance to incentivize economic development in the corridor in line with the county’s vision. Please drop by to:
  • Meet the project consultants and county staff
  • Learn about the corridor, the project scope and duration, and ways to stay informed
  • Provide your thoughts and concerns to help shape the direction of this project

RSVPs are not required. If you require any type of reasonable accommodation as a result of a physical, sensory, or mental disability to participate in this open house, please contact the Loudoun County Planning Department at 703-777-0246. Three days notice is requested.

Visit the project website at www.loudoun.gov/route28 for more background information and to access the recently completed Zoning Discovery Report.  You can also stay connected to the project by sending a message to route28@loudoun.gov with a request to be added to the project email list.

Questions and comments are welcome and should be directed to Michael “Miguel” Salinas, Project Manager, Loudoun County Planning Department, at 703-777-0246.
