The Loudoun County Workforce Resource Center continues to serve Loudoun employers and job seekers with transportation-related hiring events scheduled for next week.
FedEx Ground representatives will be at the center on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. Interested candidates will have the opportunity to interview on the spot for on-call and temporary driver positions to provide transportation service for FedEx home delivery.
The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Department of Pupil Transportation maintains a fleet of nearly 900 school buses serving more than 57,000 students and is actively recruiting for school bus drivers. LCPS staff will offer a workshop entitled "How to Obtain a Commercial Driver's License Instruction (Learner) Permit" on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m. The workshop will provide an overview of Department of Motor Vehicles Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements, the necessary steps to obtain a CDL Instruction (Learner) Permit, information on testing techniques and career opportunities with the LCPS Department of Pupil Transportation.
Both events are offered at no cost and will be held at the Loudoun Workforce Resource Center, 102 Heritage Way, 1st floor, rear entrance in Leesburg.
Walk-ins are welcome for the FedEx event; however, pre-registration is required for the LCPS workshop.
