Sheriff's Office Seeks Info on Driver who Left Scene of Property Damage Crash

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on a hit and run crash that damaged a utility pole and created a six-hour traffic delay on Old Ox Road (Route 606). 
 
Around 6:15 a.m. yesterday, Wednesday, Oct. 30, a dump truck struck a utility line containing lines for Verizon and NOVEC in the area of Route 606 near Douglas Court. The driver exited the dump truck and then re-entered his truck and left the scene.
 
The roadway was closed from 6:15 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. as utility crews repaired the damage.
 
Anyone who has any information regarding the possible identity of the driver or has information regarding the dump truck is asked to call Investigator R. Beach of the Loudoun County Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-777-1021.
