The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising residents of several weekend events that may cause traffic delays in Loudoun County.
On Sunday, a 5k held in the Ashburn Village area will begin at 7:15 a.m. and conclude at 10:15 a.m. The race will travel on Fincastle Drive, Ashburn Village Parkway, Tavern Drive, Bruceton Mills Circle, Cheltenham Circle, and Gloucester Parkway and Ringold Drive.
Also on Sunday, another 5k race will be held in the area of Broderick Street, Prentice Drive and Dresden Street in Ashburn. The event is expected to begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 10:30 a.m.
Motorists should expect heavy pedestrian traffic in the Broadlands area near Broadlands Boulevard and Clyde's restaurant on Sunday due to an event in the area. The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely and follow all law-enforcement direction.
