Mark Your Calendars: Public Meeting on Proposed Ashburn Road Sidewalk to be Held Oct. 28

Loudoun County will hold a public meeting concerning a proposed sidewalk along Ashburn Road beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Cedar Lane Elementary School, 43700 Tolamac Drive in Ashburn.

Staff from the Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure will provide information and hear comments on the concrete sidewalk proposed from Partlow Road to Hay Road on the eastern side of Ashburn Road. The purpose of this proposed sidewalk is to provide pedestrian access along Ashburn Road in an effort to provide safer connectivity for the existing neighborhoods to the Washington and Old Dominion Trail.

For questions about the project, contact William King, the county's project manager at 571-258-3553.  More information also is available on the county's new Capital Projects Status Report Interactive Map by searching for "Ashburn Road Sidewalks" under the Active Projects tab. A link to the map is online at www.loudoun.gov/underconstruction
