Weekend Events Could Cause Traffic Delays

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county.
 
The events listed below only include activities where traffic control is being conducted by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and where traffic may be impacted.
 
Saturday, May 28
• A 5k run will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Aldie area. Roads that may be impacted include Sacred Mountain Road, Northstar Boulevard, Mattingly Drive, Great Berkhamsted Drive and Chaffee Circle.
• An event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Round Hill area. Roads that may be impacted include Loudoun Street, Main Street (Rt. 719 – between Loudoun St. and Evening Star Drive) and Evening Star (morning due to 5K and parade).
• An event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Lovettsville area. The road that may be impacted is Berlin Turnpike, Hammond Drive and Town Center Drive.
• An event will be held from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Ashburn area. Roads that may be impacted include Windmill Drive (closed) and Ashburn Farm Parkway.
 
Monday, May 30
• A 1k/5k/10k run will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Ashburn area. Roads that may be impacted include Exchange Street, Marblehead Drive, Gloucester Parkway, Rainsboro Drive, Ashburn Village Blvd., Ashbrook Place and Atwater Drive.
• An event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Sterling area. Roads that may be impacted include Sterling Blvd. and West Holly Road.
 
Remember this is Memorial Day weekend, which means the potential for more cars out on the roads with travel to and from various place. Please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe holiday weekend.
