Possible Weekend Traffic Delays

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county. 

The events listed below only include activities where traffic control is being conducted by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and where traffic may be impacted. 

Saturday, Oct. 7
  • An event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Waterford area. The roads that may be impacted include High Street, Second Street, Janney Street, Patrick Street, Main Street and Water Street.
  • An event will be held  from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Ashburn area. The roads impacted include Michener Drive, Hemingway Drive, Faulkner Parkway and Ashburn Road.
  • An event will be held  from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Sterling area. The roads South Cottage Road, Seneca Ridge Drive, Sugarland Run Drive, Augusta Drive and Backwater Drive.
Sunday, Oct. 8
  • An event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Waterford area. The roads that may be impacted include High Street, Second Street, Janney Street, Patrick Street, Main Street and Water Street.
  • An event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Sterling area. The roads that may be impacted include Sterling Blvd. (southbound lanes will be closed between Frederick & Holly during parade. Traffic will be two-way in the northbound lanes and the Service Road will be open).
  • An event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Waterford area. The road that may be impacted will be Route 9 (Charles Town Pike) just east of Route 287 (Berlin Turnpike). 
Monday, Oct. 9
  • An event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Waterford area. The roads that may be impacted include High Street, Second Street, Janney Street, Patrick Street, Main Street and Water Street.
Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe holiday weekend.
