The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two vehicle crash that took the life of a Sterling woman.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. yesterday, March 7, in the area of Cascades Parkway between Maries Road and Woodland Road. The driver of a southbound Ford Expedition had a possible medical emergency when his vehicle crossed the center median and struck an oncoming PT Cruiser.
The driver of the PT Cruiser lost her life at the scene. The driver of the SUV and a passenger were taken to Reston Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit. Anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to law enforcement is asked to contact Investigator R. Beach at 703-777-1021.
