Possible Traffic Delays During Weekend Events

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county.


The events listed below only include activities where traffic control is being conducted by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and where traffic may be impacted.


Saturday

  • A 5K race will be held on May 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Brambleton area. Roads that may be impacted include Sacred Mountain Street, Northstar Blvd., Mattingly Drive, Great Berkhamsted Dr and Chaffee Cir.
  • An event will be held on May 6 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the South Riding area. Roads that may be impacted include: Riding Center Drive, Unicorn Drive and Mandolin Drive.
  • An event will be held on May 6 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Ashburn area. Roads that may be impacted include: Exchange Street and Thorndike Street.


Sunday

  • A 5K/10K will be held on May 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Brambleton area. Roads that may be impacted include: North Star Blvd., Creighton Road, Olympia Drive, Courtland Park Drive, Regal Wood Drive, Soave Drive.
  • An event will be held on May 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Sterling area. Roads that may be impacted include: Davis Drive and Sally Drive.
  • A 5K will be held on May 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Sterling area. Roads that may be impacted include: Pacific Blvd., Dresden Street, Broderick Drive and Prentice Drive.
  • A 5K will be held on May 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Sterling area. Roads that may be impacted include: Palisades Parkway, Potomac View Road, Broadmore Drive, Cascades Parkway and Esterbrook Circle.
  • A 5K/10K will be held on May 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Ashburn area. Roads that may be impacted include: Ashburn Village Blvd., Fincastle Drive, Gloucester Parkway, Tavern Drive, Bruceton Mills Circle, Cheltenham Circle and Ringold Drive.


Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
