Milling and Paving Begins in Woodland Road Industrial Park Area

Beginning this afternoon, Sunday, July 23, through Tuesday morning July 25, several roads within the Woodland Road Industrial Park will be under construction as part of a safety improvement program and to upgrade the roads so that they will be eligible for maintenance by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

Milling and paving will take place and permanent markings and signage will be constructed for the full rehabilitation of Greenoak Way, Elmwood Court, Blackwood Court, Ashgrove Court and Stonetree Court in the Woodland Road Industrial Park. These roadways are being rehabilitated to VDOT standards for acceptance in the VDOT secondary roadway system.

To minimize disruptions to local businesses, construction will begin in the evening and carry on through the night. Noise impacts may occur in nearby residential areas. The heavy construction work is scheduled to be completed by the morning of Tuesday, July 25, weather permitting.

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors allocated funds for this project in 2016 to improve these roads in the Sterling area.

Questions about the project may be directed to Rick Karle, Loudoun County Department of Building and Development, at 703-771-5129.
