Possible Traffic Delays During Weekend Events (Oct. 27-29)

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county.
The events listed below only include activities where traffic control is being conducted by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and where traffic may be impacted.

Friday, Oct. 27
  • An event will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Lansdowne area. The roads that may be impacted are Kipheart Drive, Riverpoint Drive and Upper Belmont Place.
  • An event will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Sterling area. The roads that may be impacted are Sugarland Run Drive, S. Cottage Road, Seneca Ridge Drive and Augusta Drive.
  • An event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Ashburn area. The road that may be impacted is Waxpool Road west of  Lefevre Inn Drive.

Saturday, Oct. 28
  • A 5K race will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Ashburn area. The roads that may be impacted are Russell Branch Parkway, Atwater Drive, Ashbrook Place and Northpark Drive.
  • A 5K race will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Stone Ridge area. The roads that may be impacted are Northstar Blvd., Soave Drive and Olympia Drive.
  • A 5K race will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Aldie area. The roads that may be impacted are Grassland Grove Drive, Dahlia Manor Place and Annabelle Glen Place.
  • An event will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Leesburg area. The road that may be impacted is James Monroe Hwy (Rt. 15) at Limestone School Road.

Sunday, Oct. 29
  • A 5K race will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Stone Ridge area. The roads that may be impacted are North Star Blvd., Sacred Mountain Street, Mattingly Drive, Great Berkhamsted Drive and Chaffee Circle.
  • An event will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Leesburg area. The road that may be impacted is James Monroe Hwy (Rt. 15) at Limestone School Road.

Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
