Weekend Events May Cause Traffic Issues

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county.

The events listed below only include activities where traffic control is being conducted by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and where traffic may be impacted.

  • An event in Hillsboro on Saturday, Dec. 9 may impact travel between noon and 7 p.m. in the town. Roads that may be impacted include Rt. 9 through the town and part of Stony Point Road.  Please watch for additional pedestrian traffic throughout town.
  • The Annual Christmas in Purcellville Parade will impact traffic in the downtown area between 11:30 a.m. on 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9.
  • The annual Christmas and Holiday Parade in Leesburg will impact traffic in the downtown area between 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9.
  • A 5K run on Sunday, Dec. 10 may impact traffic in the Ashburn area between 8-11 a.m. Roads impacted may include Broadlands Boulevard, Claiborne Parkway, Waxpool Road, Truro Parrish Road and Glebe View Road.

Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
