A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

From time to time, Loudoun County Traffic will bring you a "picture is worth a 1,000 words," feature. Designed to show various roadways and intersections and different times of the day, our picture feature will highlight what you already know if you travel the featured roadways -- that traffic in Loudoun County can be bad.

And if you don't travel on our featured photo, perhaps the observation will give you pause the next time you think about traveling in that direction at that time of day.

Today's picture for Monday, July 30, 2007, is the Waxpool Road exit off 28 heading into Ashburn. This picture was taken just after 5 p.m. today. As you can see, it's stop and go coming off the ramp merging onto Waxpool. And what you don't see is the rear view mirror shot, which shows traffic bumper to bumper on the ramp off 28.

We hope you enjoy our picture feature, and if you have a traffic picture you'd like to share, e-mail them to us at LoudounCountyTraffic@hotmail.com. If you want credit, be sure to give us your name or screen name -- whatever you want to be recognized with -- or we can publish anonymously if you prefer.
Thanks for stopping by.
