Beacher Appointed New Loudoun County Director of Transportation Services

Andrew G. Beacher has been selected to serve as the new Loudoun County Director of Transportation Services. Beacher has served as Acting Director of the Office of Transportation Services (OTS) since May. He joined the Loudoun County Government in 2006 when he was hired as Assistant Director of OTS.

The Loudoun County Transportation Director oversees matters relating to the county’s transportation system, including road development, pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, implementation of traffic improvements and the planning/management of county transit operations and commuter services.

The recently adopted Countywide Transportation Plan includes, among other features, a new transit plan for services, routes, infrastructure, and various funding alternatives to serve Loudoun residents prior to and after arrival of Metrorail service in the county.
