East Bound Entrance Ramp onto Rt. 7 from Loudoun County Parkway

Here's a question from a Loudoun County resident. Anyone else commute in that area? Have any guidance? If so, leave your comments below.

There seems to be some confusion on the entrance ramp East bound onto Rt. 7 from Loudoun County Parkway. There are two left turn lanes onto the ramp at the traffic signal. There is a sign on the beginning of the ramp that says "lane ends merge right."

Which lane should cars be getting into? I’m not really sure, most cars fly up in the left lane and cut over on the cars already in the right lane. There seems to be a lot of horn blowing and hand gestures there each day. I’m confused and wish there were some lines or arrows painted on the pavement directing vehicles.

Any advice from fellow commuters or VDOT?
