Rt. 50 Traffic Pattern Shift Scheduled for Thursday

Dulles District Supervisor Matt Letourneau reports that there will be a significant change in the traffic pattern on Route 50 this Thursday, July 12 (weather permitting).

According to an email from Letourneau, Eastbound Route 50 traffic between Pleasant Valley Road and Stonecroft Boulevard in Fairfax County will be diverted approximately 50 feet to the north. This shift will occur at night and be fully operational by the morning of Friday, July 13.

Access to or from any of the side streets or entrances will not be impacted. As with any change in traffic pattern, you may want to allow a little extra time on Friday morning as drivers become accustomed to the shifted lanes.
