Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project Lane Closures and Notices: Week of Aug. 19-25

From Virginia Megaprojects, here's the list of lane closures and important notes for this week, Aug. 19-25 for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail project:

  • Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west from Idylwood Rd. overpass to Pimmit Run. - Left lane closed Monday - Friday nights for shoulder construction.
  • Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to Exit 19B, Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north - Ramp closed Monday night for barrier work. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 19A, Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south, make a left onto Anderson Rd. left onto Old Chain Bridge Rd., left onto Great Falls St. and follow signs to Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
  • Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at International Dr. - Two turn lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for panel installation.
  • Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at Tysons Blvd. – Multiple lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for water main installation.
  • Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south at Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) - Road closed Tuesday night for acoustic panel installation. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Great Falls St., right onto Old Chain Bridge Rd., right onto Anderson Rd. and follow signs to Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
  • Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north at Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) - Road closed Monday and Tuesday nights for acoustic panel installation. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto Anderson Rd. left onto Old Chain Bridge., left onto Great Falls St. and follow signs to Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123).
  • Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south at Scotts Crossing Rd. to Capital One Dr. - Two lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for acoustic panel installation.
  • Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Westwood Center Dr. - Left turn lanes closed Sunday night for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a U-turn at Jarrett Valley Dr. and a right onto Westwood Center Dr.
  • Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) to Frontage Rd. - Two lanes closed Monday - Friday night for utility work.
  • Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Tyco Rd. - Left turn lane closed Sunday night for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make U-turn at Spring Hill Rd. and make a right onto Tyco Rd.
  • Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Gosnell Rd. to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Left lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for equipment delivery.
  • Westwood Center Dr. at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane closed  Monday - Saturday night for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, make a U-turn at Spring Hill Rd. and then a right onto Tyco Rd.
  • Tyco Rd. west at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Left turn lane and through lane closed Sunday night for punch list work. Traffic will be directed to Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, make a U-turn at Jarrett Valley Dr. and make a right onto Westwood Center Dr.
  • Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. - Right turn lane closed Thursday - Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
  • Galleria Dr. west at Tysons Blvd. - Three left turn lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to make a right onto Tysons Blvd., left onto International Dr., and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).
  • Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. - Two lanes closed Monday - Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to make a left onto Galleria Dr., right onto Tysons Blvd., left on International Dr. and follow signs to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123).

Nighttime work
  • Closures Sunday - Thursday nights occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.
  • Friday and Saturday night closures will occur 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Police will be on site for motorist safety. 
  • All closures are weather permitting.
