Dulles Metrorail Silver Line Update

Construction of the Phase 1 of the Dulles Metrorail is 79 percent complete with tracks in place from East Falls Church to Wiehle Avenue and all five stations clearly taking shape.

Crews are turning their attention to station work and pedestrian bridges. Construction of pedestrian pavilions will provide access to bridges over Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Chain Bridge Road (Route 123). In addition, crews continue to focus on the critical tie-in of the new Silver Line with the existing Orange Line.

Silver Line construction is on track for completion in the summer of 2013.
