Traffic Delays this Afternoon Near the Fabirgrounds

The Loudoun County Sheriffs Office advises that a special event is being held this afternoon, Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds on Dry Mill Road beginning at approximately 2:45 p.m.They are alerting motorists to expect increased traffic and delays in the area of Dry Mill Road, Catoctin Circle, and West Market Street in Leesburg.

In addition, motorists in the area of Route 7 and Route 9 and the area of Dry Mill Road and the Fairgrounds should expect delays beginning around 3 p.m., with delays expected until around 5 p.m.

The delays are due to a campaign visit in the area.

Commuters should exercise patience, and may want to use alternate routes. If you do travel this area, please follow law enforcement direction.
