Ride Free on Tysons Express Bus This Monday, April 22 (Earth Day)

Virginia Megaprojects recently announced the “Millionth Rider” of the transportation options being utilized to reduce congestion in construction areas of the Metrorail Silver Line and 495 Express Lanes. To celebrate this milestone, Loudoun Tysons Express will offer free rides on Earth Day, Monday, April 22.

Buses depart in the morning from park and ride lots at Harmony, Leesburg, Goose Creek Village, Broadlands Market Place and Broadlands South and travel to many destinations and employment centers in Tysons Corner.

Loudoun Tysons Express, which began in June 2010, now averages 340 passenger trips per day.  Fares are $3.00 if you use a SmarTrip® card or $3.50 exact cash. Buses leave the lots in Loudoun each weekday morning between 5:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.

For schedule information, visit www.loudoun.gov/bus-tysons or call Steve Angulo in the Loudoun County Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure at 703-777-0119.
