Traffic Shift on Ft. Evans Road and Riverside Parkway

Loudoun County officials announce the shifting of traffic within the Fort Evans Road Phase II and Riverside Parkway project limits. The shift is scheduled to occur on or about Monday, September 22. The exact date of the lane shift may change due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstances.

The shifting for the east and west bound lanes will take place on Ft. Evans Road beginning from east of Sentinel Drive through the River Creek Parkway intersection onto Riverside Parkway to west of the Upper Meadow Drive/Kingsport Drive intersection on Riverside Parkway.  The work will consist of shifting eastbound and westbound lanes on to the new pavement to the south of existing pavement. This shift will commence Phase II of construction.

Message boards will be operating and traffic routing will be adjusted to accommodate the traffic shift. While the actual traffic shift will occur late at night during off-peak traffic hours, commuters will experience the changed traffic conditions during the morning hours.

All residents and commuters are advised to pay special attention to traffic signs, message boards, flaggers and the construction crew.

Questions about the project may be directed to Loudoun County Construction Manager Vikram Dogra at Vikram.Dogra@loudoun.gov or 703-737-8532.
