Several Saturday Events May Cause Traffic Delays Across Loudoun County

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising residents of several events tomorrow, Saturday, May 30, that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county.
 
  • A half-marathon will be held in Hillsboro. Roads impacted include Mountain Road, Axline Road, Picnic Woods Road, and Morrisonville Road with rolling road closures from 5-11 a.m. tomorrow morning.
  • A 5k run will held at John Champe High School from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Roads impacted include Northstar Boulevard and Tall Cedars Parkway.
  • Expect increased traffic Saturday on Sycolin Road in the area of Bolen Park for a soccer event from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • A parade and event in Hamilton will impact traffic Saturday from 10:45 a.m. to noon on Colonial Highway between Harmony Church Road and North Reid Street. 
  • A festival at the Brambleton Town Center Saturday may impact traffic around the Brambleton Plaza area between 12:30-6:30 p.m.
  • A festival at One Loudoun may impact traffic on Russell Branch Parkway and Savin Hill Drive between 2:30-10 p.m. on Saturday.
 
Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
