Community Presentation on Pennington Parking Garage

Loudoun County will host an informational meeting on construction of the Pennington Parking Structure as part of the Courts Complex Phase III Expansion Thursday, February 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, S.E. in Leesburg.

Staff from the Loudoun County Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure and representatives of the architecture and engineering firm Dewberry Architects, Inc. and the construction firm Howard Shockey and Sons, Inc. will present information to the community concerning construction of the four-tiered parking garage, which is being designed and constructed as part of the Courts Complex Phase III Expansion project. The project also includes a new 85,000-square-foot court facility and the interior renovation of existing court facilities.

The new court facility will be located on the site of the current Church Street Parking Lot, at the corner of Church Street and Edwards Ferry Road, across from the Loudoun County Courthouse in downtown Leesburg. The new parking structure for the courts complex will be located on the existing Pennington Lot parcel, which is north east of the intersection of North Street and Church Street.

Anyone who requires any type of reasonable accommodation as a result of a physical, sensory or mental disability to participate in this meeting is asked to contact the Department of Transportation & Capital Infrastructure at 703-777-0396. Advance notice of at least one business day is requested. Some accommodations may require more than one day’s notice.  Assistive listening devices are available in the Board Room.

Following the meeting, the information presented will be posted on the Loudoun County website at www.loudoun.gov/courts-expansion
