Loudoun County is seeking public input on alternatives that have been proposed to relieve congestion on Route 15 north of Leesburg.
Additionally, the county is seeking input on safety and operational issues on Route 15 north of Leesburg, between Whites Ferry Road and the Maryland state line.
Comments and questions about the Route 15 project can be sent to Route15@loudoun.gov. Detailed information about the project, including a link to the Route 15 Congestion Report, is online at www.loudoun.gov/Route15.
In addition, two public meetings have been scheduled.
- Monday, June 26: 7-9 p.m. at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center, 60 Ida Lee Drive N.W., Leesburg. At last check, this session is full. (Search www.eventbrite.com for Route 15.)
- Saturday, July 8: 9-11 a.m. at Lucketts Community Center, 42361 Lucketts Road, Leesburg. RSVP here.
The meetings will be identical in format and in the information provided. Members of the public may attend one of the public meetings or send comments by email to Route15@louduon.gov. Seating at the meetings is limited. To ensure there is adequate seating so that all attendees can actively participate in facilitated small-group discussion, the county requests that anyone planning to attend RSVP.
Following the presentation of the Route 15 Congestion Report to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors on May 18, the Board directed that public information meetings be held to provide the community with an opportunity to evaluate concepts for solutions to congestion of the roadway.
