Route 50 will be closed in both directions between the roundabouts at Route 15 and Howsers Branch Road on Thursday, Dec. 21 and Friday, Dec. 22 for guardrail upgrades, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The closure schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, Dec. 21 -- 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 22 -- 9:30 a.m. to noon
Traffic will be detoured via Route 15 and Howsers Branch Road back to Route 50.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes.
