Route 7 Traffic Flow Improvements

From the September "Algonkian Pathfinder" email newsletter of Loudoun County Algonkian District Supervisor Suzanne Volpe

For those of you that commute regularly to Washington D.C. and Tyson’s Corner, I am sure you have seen the construction materials along the road on Route 7 in Sterling.

I am pleased to inform you that the long needed Route 7 Traffic Flow Improvement Project has begun! These improvements will add much needed turn lanes and merge lanes at the intersections of Route 7 and Potomac View, Route 7 and Sterling Boulevard and Route 7 and Augusta Drive (please see below for more details).

As this project progresses, I will continue to send out updates and expected completion dates. If you have any questions, please call me at 703-771-5033 or send me an email at Suzanne.Volpe@loudoun.gov.

Transportation Update from Algonkian District Supervisor Suzanne Volpe

From the first "The Algonkian Pathfinder" newsletter from Algonkian District Supervisor Suzanne Volpe comes this transportation update:

Road improvements along Route 7 should be underway in late spring or early summer of this year. The improved areas will include the intersection of Potomac View Road, Sterling Boulevard and Augusta Drive. These improvements should aid traffic flow through the Sterling area upon completion by summer’s end.

Once the bids have been received, we will be holding a Community Meeting to discuss the project and the timeline for construction to ensure residents are aware of what to expect.
