Virginia Ranks 9th in Nation for Cost of Car Ownership
The Washington Business Journal reports that in Virginia, the total cost of car ownership is $3,622, which includes repairs ($382), gasoline ($1,002), insurance ($670) and taxes/fees. Virginia also has the fifth-highest automobile taxes and fees, at an average of $1,568 per year.
