Lane Closures Overnight Tonight on I-495 at Tysons Corner

Tonight, Friday, Sept. 25, all lanes of the Capital Beltway (I-495) at Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) will be shut down several times between midnight and 5 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, for up to 30 minutes at a time, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The closure includes the Beltway ramps to and from Route 123.

The closure will allow Dominion Virginia Power to relocate overhead power lines for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project.

Motorists should expect two left lane closures in both Beltway directions near Route 123 starting at 10:30 p.m. followed by all lanes stopped for up to 30 minutes from midnight to 5 a.m. The 30 minute stoppages will occur intermittently throughout the night. Motorists should stay alert and be prepared to alter their travel along these roads.
