Leesburg Man Loses Life in Evergreen Mills Road Collision on Monday Afternoon

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office reports that Kenneth F. Taylor, 37, was traveling north on Evergreen Mills Road near Fleetwood Road around 1:45 p.m. today when his 2005 Nissan Murano was struck head-on by an oncoming 1997 Ford Expedition. The driver of the Ford, Paul M. Weber, 19, of Leesburg, was traveling southbound when he apparently came upon slow moving traffic and crossed over into the northbound lane when the crash occurred.

Taylor and a passenger in his vehicle were taken to the Lansdowne Campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital. Taylor succumbed to his injuries earlier this evening. The passenger remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Weber was also transported to INOVA Loudoun Hospital where he remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Weber was charged with reckless driving and the results of the crash investigation will be reviewed by the Loudoun Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.

All three victims were wearing their seat belts and the vehicles’ airbags deployed.
