The plan will outline a regionally coordinated and comprehensive transit and TDM vision that will support increased mobility and greater transportation choices in the region.
The Super NoVa region not only includes the northern part of Virginia (including Loudoun County), but it considers an even broader view by also examining the needs of commuters to the region from Washington D.C., Maryland and West Virginia.
Loudoun County residents are invited to learn more about the study by attending a meeting on Monday, February 13, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Ida Lee Recreation Center, 60 Ida Lee Drive, Leesburg. (Snow date: 2/20/12)
Presentations will be offered during the meeting at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Public and stakeholder involvement will be a significant component of the study. The Super NoVa study is scheduled to be complete by October 2012. Loudoun County residents are encouraged to participate by attending this and future meetings and by offering input to the team.
Individuals who cannot make the meeting can visit the study website for more details and to provide their insight to DRPT by completing a brief survey online at www.SuperNoVaTransitVision.com.
Written comments may also be sent to: Attn: Super NoVa Transit/TDM Vision Plan, 11400 Commerce Park Drive, Suite 400, Reston, VA 20191. Comments need to be received by March 1, 2012, to be included in the official record.
