The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash in the area of Old Ryan Road west of Croson Lane in Ashburn.
Loudoun Sheriff's Deputies were called to the area shortly before 6 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, May, 14 for a report of a single vehicle crash into a utility pole. The impact caused the utility pole to break in half. There were no witnesses to the crash and it appears the crash occurred sometime during the overnight.
The driver has not been identified at this time and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
As of 10 a.m. this morning, the roadway remained closed.
