Traffic Delays on Route 15 Expected During Heavy Equipment Transport

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is advising residents of potential traffic delays on Route 15 between the Prince William County line and Masons Lane south of the Town of Leesburg due to the transport of heavy equipment into the area for an energy facility that is under construction in Leesburg.
 
The transport of the equipment will impact traffic on Route 15 in Loudoun County between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
 
The first heavy equipment transport is scheduled for Nov. 17, with additional moves scheduled for Nov. 19, Nov. 22, Nov. 24, Dec. 10, December 15, Dec. 17 and Dec. 20. All dates are subject to change.
 
Additional equipment will be moved into the county in 2016. Those dates will be confirmed in the near future.
 
The Virginia Department of Transportation has placed sign boards in the area advising motorists of the potential for delays.
