Loudoun Bus Service to Return to Normal Service on Thursday, March 17

Loudoun County Transit announces that it will operate all bus routes on a normal schedule Thursday, March 17.

This comes one day after the entire Metrorail system was closed Wednesday, March 16, for emergency inspections of the system's third-rail power cables following an early morning tunnel fire Monday. Metro officials have announced that if additional problems are discovered that force the closure of any stations Thursday, they will set up "bus bridges," or extra bus service, to accommodate the station closures.

Anyone with questions about Loudoun County Transit bus service may call the after-hours dispatch line before 8:30 a.m. at 571-258-3828. After 8:30 a.m., call the Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure at 1-877-465-2287 or 703-771-5665.
