Lane Closures and Detours Tonight on the Dulles Greenway and Airport Roads

Nighttime construction activities will take place on Wednesday, June 21, causing lane closures and detours on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway, Dulles Greenway and airport roads.

 

All work is weather permitting.

 

Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) East

When:   Wednesday, June 21, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

What:    Full closure

Where:  From Saarinen Circle to mile marker 0.4 (near the Rudder Road overpass).  Follow detour.

Why:     Aerial guideway construction

 

Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) West

When:   Wednesday, June 21, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

What:    Left lane closures

Where:  From mile marker 4.1 to 2.4 (from 1/10 mile before the Fairfax County Parkway overpass to 1/10 mile beyond the Centreville Road/Elden Street overpass)

Why:     Civil work

 

Autopilot Drive North and South

When:   Wednesday, June 21, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

What:    Right lane closed

Where:  Between Rudder Road and Materials Road

Why:     Storm pipe installation and aerial guideway construction

 

Dulles Greenway East

When:   Wednesday, June 21, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

What:    Two right lanes closed 

Where:  Between mile markers 10 and 12 (from 2/10 mile past Loudoun County Parkways overpass to 3/10 mile before the Main Toll Plaza)

Why:     Road work

 

Dulles Greenway West

When:   Wednesday, June 21, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

What:    Right lane closed

Where:  Between mile markers 11.9 to 11.4 (from 5/10 mile to 9/10 mile beyond the Main Toll Plaza)

Why:     Road work

 

Sunrise Valley Drive West

When:   Wednesday, June 21, 9 p.m. to 5 p.m.

What:    Flagging operation

Where:  At intersection of Sunrise Valley Drive and Roark Drive

Why:     Utility work
